Who are MODTEX?
We are MODTEX – Modern Textures, a South Australian trades business delivering high-quality finishes in solid plastering, internal linings, external cladding and exterior painting. We’re passionate about transforming projects with precision craftsmanship and innovative textures that set new standards in the industry.
When did we start working in SA?
We began operating over five years ago under the name of Lindsay Solid Plastering. Originally just providing all forms of plastering but have since expanded into further services as demand and reputation grow. As our business grew, we took the opportunity to rebrand to MODTEX – Modern Textures, growing our team and what we have to offer South Australians has been a real joy for me.
Why do you think people choose MODTEX?
We genuinely love creating high-end finishes that last. Construction is more than a job for us – it’s about leaving a mark on projects that people live in, work in, and admire. The trade allows us to combine creativity with practical building solutions, and we get real satisfaction from solving challenges and producing stand-out results.
Tell us more about your team?
Our team is made up of skilled tradesman, supervisors and apprentices. We are a group of 10 with decades of combined experience across the multiple varying trades we offer. We also have our sub-contracting teams who we trust through and through. This joint knowledge means we can handle complex jobs, manage multiple trades under one roof, and deliver projects on time with consistency.

What are your future plans ModTex?

We want to continue our strong and respected relationships with top builders in the state and continue to grow and develop new skills across our team to be able to deliver the trusted work we already have a reputation for.
And finally, what is your Favourite Normus project?
Our favourite Normus project so far has been the Normus Display Homes at Kensington Gardens where we were able to showcase the versatility of our team across different finishes. The coordination with Normus allowed us to demonstrate both speed and detail – a perfect example of what we do best.
