Who is Cerbis?

Cerbis:

Cerbis Ceramics has is a premium importer and supplier of tiles in South Australia and the Northern Territory for almost 40 years. We have established ourselves as a leader in both states offering luxury to customers from Adelaide to Darwin and everywhere in between.

How did Cerbis come about? Tell us all how Cerbis started.

Cerbis:

Cerbis Ceramics was established by my parents in Darwin in 1987.

I grew up watching them work in the business before eventually working in the business myself. Taught to learn everything from working in the warehouse to sales and procurement After making the decision Adelaide with my wife Eleni, we decided to expand the business to South Australia.

We saw the opportunity to offer a new range of products directly imported by us.

What makes Cerbis Ceramics different?

Cerbis:

Firstly, our product range is different to what you will find elsewhere in Adelaide because we select and import our own products with Adelaide homes and commercial spaces in mind.

Secondly, our focus is on providing our clients with a great experience from selection to delivery. We are focused on helping our clients find the best solution for their project from both a design and budget perspective.

Last but not least, our showroom, all our team and stocked product range is onsite and readily accessible. This streamlines our customers’ experience with a smooth process from start to finish.

How does Cerbis stay ahead of design trends?

Cerbis:

I regularly travel overseas to see the latest designs being produced by leading tile manufacturers.

Italy still leads the way in tile design and trends and Cersai – the annual International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings – showcases the latest in designs and emerging technology.

We also have reps from international manufacturers visit us throughout the year and present their latest designs.

What advice do you give to homeowners?

The selection of tiles for your home is more important than many realise.

Tiles aren’t just functional surfaces — they are the canvas on which the rest of your design is painted and can shape the entire aesthetic of your home.

They are also one the most permanent design choices in a home. Unlike tapware, lighting and appliances, they are not easily replaced once installed.

What does the future look like?

Cerbis:

Our front showroom displays are currently being updated with new and exciting products.

We are also working on our new website which will give customers the opportunity to view our range at home before coming into the showroom.
